Eureka Springs, Arkansas

Christ of the Ozarks is located a short drive outside Eureka Springs town center.  We were staying in Branson Missouri and it was just slightly over an hour drive to get to Eureka Springs, Arkansas. I had no idea that Arkansas was this close to Branson and we had never been to Arkansas before.  I had went in and got my hair done by a young lady and she had suggested that we visit Eureka Springs because it's so pretty. We planned a day to get to Eureka Springs and it was well worth the visit.  It was a very pretty countryside to drive through with a lot of hilly, curvy roads on the highway to Eureka Springs.  There was zero shoulder to the very narrow road.  There were acreages, crops, farms and small towns and one city along the way to Eureka Springs. Eureka Springs is a holiday resort town. Hundreds of rental doors are waiting for the high, summer season. Eureka Springs is made up of 63 Springs within the city limits and they are dotted throughout the area....

Sedona and Scottsdale Arizona

Hummingbird moth enjoying the Delphinium nectar. We picked up our friends Kim and Rich at the PHX airport and WestJet was miraculously on time yeh!. We continued our drive north to Sedona. They have never been to Arizona, unfortunately it was dark and they did not get to see the stupendous, breathtaking vista view of the glorious red rock formations as you drive into Sedona. They were in for a treat the next morning as I had booked us into Sedona Summit with Mesa Views. Our balcony had full Mesa views. Zoomed in photo off of our balcony. We had amazing views off of our balcony! We did not get to see any  Javelina families walking by on the ground below, they are usually in the vicinity. We drove into Sedona and up to Oak Creek Canyon which is a very pretty drive and went to my favorite restaurant Wildflower Bread Company for Potato Soup in a Sourdough Bread Bowl, yum!
