Marriott Grand Ocean, Hilton Head, South Carolina

The Marriott Grand Ocean is a lovely expansive resort on Hilton Head Island Beach.  It has many pools and hot tubs and a lot of amenities to make for a great vacation.  Grand Ocean is located right on the ocean at Hilton Head South Carolina.  There is a few raised platform access points out to the beach.

We had a two bedroom two bathroom unit and it was great.  The living room was super huge with one of the longest couches I have ever sat on.

 The primary bedroom was gorgeously laid out with an extremely large bathroom.  The tub was super comfortable to soak in and the lighting was amazing.

We ended up getting an end unit that was accessible so it was bigger than most and exactly 37 steps from the master toilet to the front door, so very large.  The kitchen was just like any Marriott Vacation Club kitchen that had everything that you needed or desired to cook.  One night I needed an extra pot and they quickly brought it up.  

The dining room sat six people and the table top was a hard glass surface. I could not lift it and I tried to move it closer to the wall and it was too heavy to even lift one end. 

The spare bedroom had two queen beds and was a good size with the second bathroom that was accessible to the hallway and front foyer.  This bathroom was on the smaller side but more than adequate.  

The front foyer had a long 6-foot counter to put anything on like bike helmets etc.  

The laundry room made me a bit jealous because it was bigger than my laundry room at home with a brand new laundry unit and places to hang wet clothes etc.  The Marriott grand ocean has been renovated so it was very nice to be in a renovated suite.  I liked the design and layout of everything. 

This resort is located just outside of Sea Pines which is a beautiful place to bike and it is super posh.  Grand Ocean gives you a pass to use for the week so you can go in as often as you like with your car or bike.

Unfortunately, there was construction when we were there.  They are making and creating a lazy river in the pool area.  A construction site was our view.  I did not sit out very often on the balcony because I did not think that the construction workers wanted to see the new housecoat that I bought at Costco in California.  The lazy river will be a big hit and something to look forward to when we return.

We will definitely come back to Marriott Grand Ocean it is a great place to stay on the beach at Hilton Head.
