Valldemosa and Deia, Mallorca Spain
We visited the lovely little village of Valldemosa which is hidden in the Tramuntana Mountains. The views did not disappoint. There are vineyards and Olive groves and Oranges growing in abundance in Valldemosa. Valldemosa is blessed with a UNESCO World Heritage site which is the Monastery, but it was closed until February, therefore, we were not able to view the inside of it. It is the Carthusian Monastery where Chopin lived and composed his music in 1838-1839. Chopin was hoping for renewed health with the Mediterranean air and lifestyle. In the year 1399, there were no more Mallorcan Kings so it was given to the monks and over 600 years later it is now a UNESCO site. Chopin in the old Palace Gardens.
