Marriott Biscayne Bay, Miami Florida

Image
We arrived late on our flight from Charlotte, North Carolina and our friends the Kollers picked us up and dropped us off at the Marriott Biscayne Bay and we had a nice check-in because I did get an upgrade bump to a corner Junior suite which is approximately 500 square feet with three walls of floor-to-ceiling windows, a large living room and a large dining room were included. There is a coffee station underneath the TV and there are two long hallways which I would have used the space from one hallway to make the bathroom bigger. This hallway I would have kept because it was a natural flow to the room with a long bench with drawers to put your luggage on and a tall mirror which were both very helpful. The bathroom was a disappointing size. It would not be what you would consider a four or five star bathroom. It's quite small with really no room for two people to be at the sink at once because there's a toilet very close to the sink area and then a large stand-up shower. I reque...

Marriott Willow Ridge, Branson Missouri

Image
The headboard in the Master bedroom depicted the Ozark Lake that was man-made by building the Table Rock Dam to stem the flow of the White River and control the flooding in Missouri.  I thought that was very creative and a beautiful headboard. The Marriott Willow Ridge is located in Branson and is easy drive to get to any of the shows or restaurants or shopping. Branson is a very hilly pretty city and so you're driving up and down constantly.  The resort had very professional staff and very friendly. We checked in early afternoon and our room was ready and we had a two-bedroom two bathroom unit with a lock off. The unit was large with a comfortable living room, big screen TV, a large balcony and two closets for our clothes in the bedroom. The bathroom was a walk-through from the dining room area into our bedroom. The only complaint there would be we only had one sink in the Master but overall it's been refurbished nicely and the renovation is very pretty. Large Dining Room Tab...

The Ozarks and Branson Missouri

Image
Our first day that we landed was 31 degrees which was unseasonably warm but lovely. The Ozarks were in bloom and it was getting prettier by the day, it was Spring time in the Ozarks!  Pretty blooms covered this tree outside of our balcony.  These purple trees were all over Branson. We drove around a bit.  Branson is very hilly and hard to get your bearings.  We went to the highly recommended Gettin Basted Restaurant. I chose the Moo Burger which is  a Brisket sandwich and fries, which were delicious!  The Mural when you enter the restaurant.  My big head is blocking the 'Gettin' Modeling my new dress purchase from Scottsdale. Jean dresses, jean shirts and jean vests are back baby! Kim had the Burnt and Bleu Salad.  It was a salad for 3. They had great wallpaper in the restaurant. The second day was drizzly and dropped 18 degrees. We felt like we were in Saskatchewan with the extreme weather change. We went on a hike in Lakeside Forest Trails and w...
