Hilton Los Angeles Airport Hotel

I was lucky enough to get this hotel for a steal on hotwire.com for $99 USD for the night plus taxes.  This is a four-star hotel, quite nice with a grand lobby and the largest basic hotel room we have ever stayed in.  We finally had room to lay all of our suitcases open without cramping our style.  We lucked out and got a room on the third floor that has patio doors that walk out to an incredibly large terrace, shared by several rooms.  I worked on my blog on one of the tables, the morning that we left.    The internet is strong here and sufficient.  The terrace is a lovely spot in the sun and I had it all to myself until the two stoners came out and started smoking weed at one of the other tables.  I forgot that marijuana is legal in California. I can't handle that smell. Eat as much weed as you need or gummies or oil or whatever, but please don't smoke weed in front of me.  I may hurl on your shoes.

I recommend this hotel for an overnight stay as it is very close to LAX.

There is a Denny's just down the street (2 blocks) that you can walk to if you want to catch breakfast there.  I had a great meal at Denny's probably one of the best breakfasts at a restaurant I've ever had and it came to $28.40 American and my husband just had a coke. It is pricey as you are in the LAX area.  Expensive, everything is so bloody expensive now.

This hotel has instant hot water systems which must be in place to conserve water. Nice feature.

The only downside of staying this close to LAX is that the parking was 44 US dollars.  There is also a 10% parking tax on that for a grand total of $48.40 USD or $67.00 CND.  I remember pre-covid when I could get a hotel room in the LAX area on Hotwire for $69.00 with free parking.
Apparently, those days are gone.   Somebody is making up for lost revenue during two years of Fricken covid. Outrageous!!
