MOT - Museum of Tolerance Simon Wiesenthal Center Museum

Simon Wiesenthal was a Holocaust Survivor, his mother perished during the Holocaust and his father died in a Stalin prison.   Simon had 89 family members that were murdered during the Holocaust and Simon became a Nazi Hunter and found and persecuted over a thousand Nazis.

https://www.wiesenthal.com     This man fascinates me, what a life he led.

It is geared toward all ages.  You can get a card of an actual person that perished during the Holocaust and get a printout of their too-short life.  Please see below the children's cards that we received.  This obviously is a very emotional place to visit but it needs to be done to educate yourself.

There are a multitude of portraits on the walls of survivors and this winds around the circular walkway below.

There are numerous interactive things to learn about the lack of tolerance and how to bring more tolerance into our lives.

The museum is a must-see if you are in LA.  They do a very good job of depicting the Wannsee Conference and the highly educated men that met that day to decide the fate of millions of Jews.  Everything is well done, even the architecture of the building that houses this museum which is in three parts.  Give yourself at least 3 hours to go through it.

There is free parking underneath the museum.  Your vehicle will be checked inside and underneath for any kind of bomb devices and this needs to be done because of the rise in anti-Semitism and all of the haters and deniers out there.  If you have traveled in the middle East then this is normal procedure.

Buy your tickets in advance and they will run a quick security check on you, which they need to.  There are too many anti-Semitics out there.  One is too many.

We need more tolerance in our world and everyone should visit this museum.
