Residence Inn Downtown Jacksonville Florida
This was a great hotel with beautiful new rooms. This hotel is located in a nice part of the city which is very close to the River Walk.
Everyone was so friendly here. I received more hellos, how are yous? in the elevator than I have ever before.
Breakfast although we arrived close to the end which was 10:00 am on the weekend, the ladies servicing the kitchen area were so helpful and polite. Breakfast was great and free so even better. Residence Inns always have the make-your-own waffle area which I appreciate.
The room was gorgeous, the nicest Residence Inn yet. I hate it when the kitchen is nicer than what I have at home. We were upgraded from a studio to a one-bedroom unit, which also improved our stay. The bed was very comfortable and the TV was huge.
Jacksonville downtown was quite pretty what we saw. We drove in and it was dark and the tall buildings were all lit up and the bridge was lit up in a red light. It looked quite cool driving in.The riverwalk was really nice and well-used. We wanted to walk to the Lock Bridge to check that out, but there were plenty of sites to see along the way.
If you can zoom in you will see the hundreds of locks that are locked to the bridge and this is behind the boys.
Magnolia Trees are common here.
