Sheraton Vistana Resort-Fountains Orlando Florida

Sheraton Vistana is a very nice four-star timeshare resort that is spread out quite widely over a large piece of land south of Orlando in Lake Buena Vista.  The buildings are all three-four stories without elevators so if you don't like carrying your luggage then stick to the first floor.  We stayed in the Fountains area, a newer Vistana Resort division.
It has security with a gate where you have to use your card to open up the gate to enter this part of the resort.
The room we stayed in was lovely, it was newly refurbished with new drapes new furniture new appliances carpet the whole shebang.  The living room is quite large with a sectional couch.

The master bedroom is very large and has access to the balcony.  The balcony is screened in and I always thought that this was weird in Florida because they don't seem to have mosquitos.  It is actually more to keep out the tiny geckos and the very cheeky squirrels etc.
One thing we've never encountered before is it has a door off the balcony to another set of stairs.  This must be an emergency route because you can not access the door with your key to come back in.  We had a nice view of the lake and fountains from our balcony and living room windows.

We had a washing machine and dryer in the hallway, which is always great to have.  Travelling for months at a time is always very nice to have a unit in your own condo.
The kitchen is very well equipped except it doesn't have a pair of scissors or mixing bowls but it has everything else.  Granite counters are my preferred because they have character.  The newer solid fabricated counters are pretty but I like my granite which is solid rock.  The appliances are more recent and the fridge has an ice maker.  I do like me an ice maker.  I drink so much more water if I have ice.

The units are decorated very nicely, I love the colours and textures that they have used.  I requested a top floor and an end unit.  The top floor has skylights and with an end unit you get more windows, hence lighter.  I could be very happy living here, with one exception, they would have to change out the front door.  It could be more soundproof.
We stayed here in the Fountains for two weeks and had two different units due to the fact that I had to take a hotel room between the two weeks.  In our first building #40 we had such poor wifi that it was almost like dial-up.  It was extremely frustrating, especially for my husband who is still working and needs good wifi.  We reported it and they were very aware of it.  They then said it was going to be fixed by 5:00 pm but it had not improved at all.  When we checked in for our second week we thought perhaps if we were closer to the large pool, then the wifi would be better and it was in building #7.  Unfortunately, the wifi was awful in this building as well.

The pools here are lovely with lots of lounge chairs.  There is music playing all around the pool and that is not the smartest idea.  Some people such as myself love to read by the pool and we like quiet.  I would suggest that one of the smaller pools be classified as an adult-only quiet pool.  My Sheraton Desert Oasis in Scottsdale has this and that is where I park my butt on most days and I love it.  The odd rude person ignores it and brings in their noisy child, but it is usually heaven.

The spare bedroom has two double beds and most importantly, the bed in the Master is comfortable and not too soft.  I sound like Goldilocks and the Three Bears right now and I am really dating myself.  Do kids nowadays know that fairy tale???
