Marriott Harbor Point at Shelter Cove, Hilton Head South Carolina
This timeshare is right on the salt marsh or Broad Creek. We were lucky enough to have a view off of our balcony.
We ended up with a corner unit so there was much more light due to the large dining space window.
The pool here is decent-sized and has lovely views over the marsh. There are tennis/pickleball courts and a fitness center to work out in.
The living room/dining room/kitchen are all well set up. The kitchen is a bit squishy with the stackable laundry unit in the corner opposite the fridge.
There are granite counters and nice new appliances.
The unit has been recently renovated and looks very modernly decorated.
The master bedroom is tight and does not even have a chair in it to set things down on or sit on. The place where the 2 bedroom/2 bathroom unit falls desperately short is the bathrooms. We have never been in such a small primary bathroom in any hotel or timeshare. It is extremely tight. The door opens and sits against the bathtub and you can not squeeze in between the toilet and the counter to access one end of the countertop. There is only one sink which is a big downer for a timeshare. I gave this timeshare a 3-star due to the incredibly small and uncomfortable bathrooms.
The spare bedroom is a decent size.
The bathroom is extremely tight and uncomfortable as well. The door on it which opens to a small wasted space of a hallway is so thin that when one sits at the dining room toilet one can hear everything in that bathroom. If they renovate this area of this unit you must increase the bathroom space by closing off the spare bathroom only with access from the bathroom and use the wasted space in the hallway to increase the primary bathroom.
The spare bathroom is so tiny that the sink is in a corner and you have to look to either side to see your reflection in the mirror.
However disappointing the bathrooms are at this Marriott, Shelter Cove is a lovely area to stay in. You can walk or bike to everything. There are grocery stores and even a Lululemon in this area. The marina is very close and walkable and there are many dolphins spotted in this Broad Creek area.
