Kameha Grand Zurich Autograph Hotel, Zurich Switzerland

We had a stop-over on our way to Cyprus with Swiss Air and I chose Kameha to stay at and it was a good choice.  The Kameha is a Marriott hotel.

The headboard was the night light it was backlit and very pretty.

Kameha is conveniently located just a 5-minute Tram (number 10) ride away from Zurich International Airport.  The Tram is easy to figure out and it is a cheap form of transportation.  You can buy a 24-hour pass for just 5.40 Swiss Franc.  Once you get off at the closest stop it is less than a 5-minute walk to the Hotel on the other side of the street.

We wanted to go into Old Town and explore so we hopped back on the Tram and it took 25 minutes on number 10 to get to the main stop.  Old Town Zurich is quite pretty with its narrow streets that are on an incline up away from the river.  There are plenty of pretty old buildings to see.

Very pretty old medieval narrow streets in Old Town Zurich which is separated by the river.

We were trying to find the Adler Hotel which has a restaurant that has Swiss food but the line-up was too long.  We wandered down the street which is one block off the river and ended up at N-68 and we were glad that we did.  I ordered a pork schnitzel and spetzil in a mushroom sauce and they were both the best that I have ever had.

Inside N-68.  The building is ancient with its old timber beams, rock walls and low ceilings.

Make sure you stop into a local convenience store to purchase world-famous Swiss chocolate which is in abundance in Zurich.

The hotel room was very comfortable.  The bed was great and the room was very pretty.  I especially loved the bathroom which is designed to look like a bank vault.  10 out of 10 on the design of this hotel.

Probably one of the most unique hotel rooms I have ever stayed in.  The reception at the hotel was also very cool.  Over each check-in area was an enormous brass bell-shaped light which was replicated in miniature in the hotel room's desk lamp.

This was where the coffee area and bar fridge resided in this vault-looking piece of furniture.

The room's carpet was stunning.

Sliding doors into the large bathroom.

There was also a shower tucked behind a sliding mirrored door and there was a full-length mirror in the toilet-room which I could have done without.
