Mijas Pueblo, Spain

What a lovely mountain village this is.  This little village was about a 15-minute drive from Wyndham Residences where we were staying.  The roads were tricky to maneuver because they are so narrow and you think the road is a one-way but it's not, it is just so incredibly narrow.

There is a town square with parking and an information booth where you can pick up a free map of all of the historic areas to see.  We followed this route and had a great walk.

The views of the coast are stupendous from numerous viewing areas.

We ate at a Pizza place because it had the best viewing vantage point in the village.  I had a nice white wine and ordered Seafood Paella, a Spanish rice dish.  It was very good 😊.

There is an old church that is built into the rock, so it is basically a cave.

There is also another ancient church that is still operational today in Mijas Pueblo.

The vegetation is very pretty and very different from where we live.  It has a Mediterranean climate and has the benefit of a 12-month growing cycle unlike ours.

The donkeys are adorable but they are for hire which we did not partake in because I also think that is cruel ( my fat ass on a poor little donkey).  NO.

We bought some nougat from a store that was making it fresh.  It was good but nothing compared to Moroccan nougat.  We had Gelato which we bought right outside the Pizza place and it was excellent and at a decent price.
The ambiance, architecture and decor of this village were all excellent.  We were travelling with our son and friends and we all loved this place.

There is a Bullring in Mijas Pueblo but we did not go in because I don't believe in torturing animals.

Go and visit Mijas Pueblo, it is a full day of eye candy for the soul.
