The Royal Cancun, Cancun Mexico

Despite a few setbacks, our stay at The Royal Cancun was a blend of positives and areas for improvement. The upstairs master suite, with its extra balcony and stunning views, offered a tranquil oasis. The comfortable bed and spacious room, complete with a desk, added to the overall charm.

The Master Bathroom was equipped with the best view.

The Grounds at the Royal Cancun are well-maintained.

The pier to walk on enjoy and take a different perspective of the resort.

The kitchen, though semi-updated, was well-stocked, making it convenient for guests. The living room, equipped with a comfortable double Murphy bed and a large flat-screen TV, provided a cozy space to relax. However, an additional chair in the living room would have made seating more comfortable for larger groups.

The main balcony, while limited in space, still offered a picturesque view of Isla Mujeres island glittering at night. The pools, with their quaint and quiet atmosphere, provided a relaxing escape, and the bay offered a safe environment for swimming, despite the seagrass washing ashore.

Suggestions for improvement include addressing noise concerns from the neighbouring Breathless All-Inclusive Resort, potentially through enhanced soundproofing extending the balcony wall and blocking off the side arched opening. Optimizing space utilization, such as converting the area under the stairs into a bedroom or adding a half bathroom, could enhance the overall functionality of the unit.

Further, recommendations for Cancun to implement pedestrian walk lights while crossing the busy road, to enhance safety for all. Suggestions for the resort Activities Center, like extending its hours and relocating the ping-pong table outside, would undoubtedly enhance the guest experience.

While there were areas that could be improved, my stay at The Royal Cancun offered moments of serenity and enjoyment. Sharing these insights can contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the guest experience and help future visitors make informed decisions.

There are many restaurants within a short bus ride or walk.  At Marineros restaurant, they prepare fresh Guacamole table side just a 45-minute walk from the Royal Cancun.
