Many people will say that Canada has some of the prettiest landscapes in the world and I would agree. After witnessing Machu Picchu and being wowed, I was still being wowed during the 2.5-hour drive back to Cuzco and decided to do a post on this lovely scenery as I first discovered it, which is on the drive from Cuzco to Machu Picchu.Passing through snow-capped mountain ranges, open meadows, wildflowers in full bloom, agricultural land, lakes, rivers and towns. The switchback road that takes you down to the valley from the heights of Cuzco at 11,152 feet is scary but looking down into the valley is stunningly beautiful. Even though pictures never do a scene justice, you decide if it is the prettiest.
I have laid out the photos in chronological order leaving Cuzco city with so many interesting things to see and the drive as we saw it. Keep in mind, that almost all of the photos have been taken from a bus window.

I captured a hang-glider in this photo. |
I was so awed by the scenery that I felt this drive deserved its own post.
