AC Hotel Querataro Antea, Querataro, Mexico

This was a one night stop for us on our way to San Miguel de Allende.  We flew into Querataro which is a large Mexican city of 2.5 million people.  It is a nice hotel on the trendy side for a Marriott.  I am a Titanium Elite Member with Marriott Bonvoy and I would have to say that this elite status was barely recognized by the staff.  They never mentioned it once, in fact I had to ask to get the complimentary breakfast, it was not offered to me.  That being said it was a pretty good Buffet breakfast and I had one of the best omelets ever that was made to order for me.

The hotel is directly beside the Antea Lifestyle Mall which is a huge beautiful mall full of every store.  I even saw a Lululemon and Prada, not that I frequent these chains but I did walk by them.  There is also an extremely beautiful up-scale La Comer Grocery Store that faces the hotel.

I was upgraded to a King Suite but it did not look much different than a normal room.  The room was tiny but the bathroom was huge and laid out in an interesting way and it was very modern in design.  The shower was heaven with the perfect amount of pressure and glass mirrored see-through walls.  We had floor to ceiling windows in our room with black out curtains and this continued into the bathroom.  The bathroom needed a make-up mirror but other than that it was great with double sinks and private toilet area.

The laughable thing about my Suite Reward Upgrade which I really did not get was that it wasn't even a king bed, it was a queen size bed.  I had requested the balcony suite that was over 500 square feet but I only got this King Suite which was less than 300 square feet.  Even though we only had a queen size bed in a King suite the mattress was very comfortable. This hotel did not honor my Suite Reward Upgrade which was a bit frustrating.

I would strongly suggest that the cleaning regiment be stepped up at this hotel.  Our floor in our suite had not been vacuumed properly or mopped in a very long time.  It was very dirty with dust balls behind the doors.

Dirty floor

Things stuck to the walls.

The room had a good amount of outlets for tech plug ins and a desk for me to blog.  The TV was very large.  There was Netflix on the TV as well which we have grown accustomed to with any Marriott hotel.  I would say that the lighting could be improved in the hall and seating area, it was hard to see at night with a glow light in the shelving area.

Small seating area.

The staff was very friendly at this hotel.  Most of the staff speak English.
