Singapore is a lovely, gorgeous, clean, tropical, green, safe, populated, multi-cultural city to visit.  When we have visited Singapore in the past, we flew directly from Delhi, India, so Singapore seemed like a safe clean haven after Delhi and all of its glorious filth.  This time  in Singapore I felt we could enjoy it more at a leisurely pace and maybe even appreciate it a bit more in this quick visit. The Intercontinental Singapore Grand Entrance.  We stayed in the Heritage Wing in this Grand Dame of a hotel and it is located within the historic Bugis area of Singapore.  We loved this 5 Star Hotel and the location was perfect.   This is a lovely old 5 star Hotel in the heart of Singapore.  We have stayed in Singapore before but the Intercontinental made it a better stay this time around.  It is a lovely old hotel and we stayed in the Heritage Wing.   The room was large with pretty furnishings and moldings on the ceiling and walls.  The ceiling had a nice Trey ceiling with a Chandelier. The bathroom was large with a separate comfortable bathtub and shower which was all marble and beautiful. There was a front entrance with a closet that was large enough for a separate mirror and shelf and my luggage.   There was a large desk and a credenza for the coffee station.  They served Espresso type coffee in porcelain cups. The bed was a king and lovely and comfortable.  We had two balcony doors to Juliette balconies but neither opened which was ok, because the mall was underneath us.
