Sheraton Princess Kaiulani - Honolulu, Hawaii

This hotel is one block from the beach ⛱️. It is an older hotel with 29 floors in the Ainahau Tower where we are staying. There is another shorter tower. It is under renovation and we had to take the service elevator up. Our room was small with two double sized beds and a very tiny bathroom.

Really the only thing renovated in our room was the carpet and furniture and the bathroom counter.  The sliding glass doors should have been replaced they are very old.

The bed was way too soft with no support and very hard on the back.
We did have a nice balcony and we did get upgraded to an Ocean view room.
There was a resort fee of 38 USD per night and I am not sure what we got for that if anything.  Personally I feel that is a complete and utter money grab.  All the more reason to never come back to Honolulu.  We don't like Honolulu and we only stayed in the concrete jungle so that we could fly to Singapore.  If you have seen Pearl Harbour and hiked Diamond Head then that is all we need to see. We need never return plus the beach is disappearing.
The lobby was huge with lots of games like ping pong and pool to play and others.
Personally I would have stayed at the Moana Surfrider Westin Hotel but they did not have any double rooms available when I booked.  The staff is very friendly and helpful here and that is always a bonus.  I am Titanium Elite Status with Marriott Bonvoy and there were a few perks being a resort.  I chose the grab and go breakfasts and the upgrade to ocean was due to my status.
