Westin Princeville Resort - Princeville, Kauai, Hawaii

The Westin is everything that you would expect from a Westin and more. The location is stunning and our view of the ocean and Anini Beach was stunning.

We had a two bedroom lock-off unit that we shared with another family who had their own complete side with their own kitchen and washing machine and dryer and living room.

Our Premium side kitchen was very well equipped and we cooked almost all of our meals there. The fridge had an ice maker which is always appreciated.

The dining room was comfortable and the living room had a sectional and another chair.

We enjoyed the Westin bed and the bathroom was very large with a separate tub and shower. The tub I would have to say was one of the more uncomfortable tubs I have ever been in and I am not sure who picked that but it was awful. It did fill up quick though.

The tub had those doors that can open to the bedroom which I think is a design flaw because it just lets noise into your bathroom when you are trying to relax in the tub.

The balcony was where I spent much of my time eating my meals
This is Hawaii's State bird the Nene which is essentially a goose.

Views from the balcony were phenomenal.

Many birds came to visit.  This was a very large bird called the Cattle Egret.

A Zebra Dove.

Great views both ways on the balcony either to the ocean or to the mountains.

There were 3 different pool areas and we went to the quiet pool one afternoon but we aren't pool people there are much more exciting things to do and see in Kauai.

Happy Hour at the pools was lame and only had 30% off so we did not attend any of that. Happy Hour needs to be 50% off at least for me to be Happy.
The Activity Center closed at 5:30 pm which is ridiculous because this is when you are trying to keep your children and teenagers busy so that was disappointing for my son and his friend that came along with him.
The grounds were beautiful at the Westin.
Inside the lobby where you can sign out nice beach chairs and umbrellas for 10 dollars per day.

There were a multitude of things to do in the Princeville area but you need a car.
We enjoyed our stay and would return.

The mountains always look fake in Kauai.

On a walk to the 1 Hanalei Bay Hotel where the water is gorgeous from up above.  There is a man floating on his stomach in the water.

Ancient Taro Fields that have been used for thousands of years.
