Adelaide Marriott Hotel, Adelaide Australia

Church near the Adelaide Marriott and typical of the stone and brick work that is scattered all over the entire city of Adelaide. |
The Adelaide Marriott Hotel just opened in 2024 so it's practically brand new and its very nice. We were upgraded to the M Club Suite which I would say is almost double the size of a normal hotel room.
It was very tech savvy with the coolest light switches. You could push the mood light switch and there was night lights and the lighting was really cool in this Suite.
There was a nice large TV that you could turn and watch it at the table and chairs or on the chaise lounge or on the bed. We had good views of the city. We were on the 5th floor which wasn't super high but that was okay. There was a really nice coffee station with Nespresso coffee pods and also there was a kettle so I could make my pour over coffee every morning which was nice. There was a refrigerator so we could put some food in. We received our complimentary buffet breakfast in the restaurant called Penny Blue which was a nice spread every morning and from 5:00 to 7:00 every night we had complimentary food and beverages in the M Club Level Lounge for Elite members.
I was really impressed with the comfort of the bed
I was especially impressed with the washroom which was laid out differently. There was a large shower and one sink and a beautiful tub with a glass window that you could electronically bring the screen down if you wanted for total privacy between the bedroom and the bathroom. The tub was one of those beautiful tubs but not super comfortable because it didn't promote sitting up in the bathtub. You kind of always slid down in the bathtub.

The tub came with an Exfoliation Mitt, Bath Salts and a Bath Bomb |
What was very interesting was that there was another sink on the opposite side of the room which was a tiny little this was where the toilet was. I think it would have been smarter to put two sinks in the main part of the area by making the shower a little smaller.
We did appreciate the walk-in closet area with a large marble bench area where two large suitcases could fit on it and then there was a hanging area and a closet with the pull out drawer with the security box for locking up your passports. That probably was the nicest part of the whole room because there's never enough area to lay out your suitcases. Under the suitcases there were drawers where you could actually unpack for your five night stay.
There really was not much to complain about with this very well thought out hotel room. I was impressed.

I really loved the ladies at the front check-in desk. One in particular was very good and remembered our names and remembered our room number when we couldn't even remember our room number ourselves because we move around so much.
The new Marriott Adelaide is right in the CBD or in the heart of Adelaide City. It is within walking distance to the Rundle Mall, the Botanical Gardens, the AGSA or Art Gallery of Southern Australia and the Adelaide Museum which I might add are all free, which is so progressive for a big city.
I was very happy with this hotel room and I would definitely return as it was very comfortable. It was very well thought out with this new layout and I appreciated that very much.
