Palazzo Catalani and Palazzo at Soriano

| Photo taken from the Palazzo Catalani Garden courtyard. Castle Orsini is the large building at the top and it is a short walk away. |
This little timeshare situated in a refurbished Palazzo Catalani is a true gem. It has been well furbished and done the right way except I personally would have squeezed in a bathtub into this room to make it even a little bit better. The ancient original timber ceilings are quite a novelty. It is a very quiet building because the stone is so thick and it is set across from this tiny little street/ alley way from Palazzo at Soriano. The tiny street is paved with original cobblestones. Palazzo Catalani dates back to the 1600s and it has tremendous views of the Castle Orsini.

The street to get up to the Palazzo is a tough walk but very good exercise.

| It is easy to miss the turn but it looks like this from the main street. There is no parking at this place. Raul drove his truck down to where we were parked and picked up our luggage for us. |
Our bed was very comfortable and the room was a good size with a really nice closet that lit up when you opened up the doors
The bathroom was a nice size with a shower only but had a nice added touch of a heated towel rack.
The kitchen had everything that you would need, including a tiny dishwasher and it also had a drinkable filtered water tap which was incredible since we've been buying our own water to drink for the last 2 weeks already and it gets pricey.
The living room was a decent size and we had a nice little round marble kitchen table with three chairs. There were really no English speaking TV channels to speak of except the news.
We were situated on the second floor and we had an ancient but newly refurbished window to look out of that we could see down both streets into the ancient medieval town of Soriano nel Cimino.
There was free laundry for the patrons and you just had to get the key to the laundry room and they also supplied detergent. There was one washing machine and two dryers which we hadn't done laundry for 2 weeks so that was nice to have at her fingertips.
There is a outdoor pool but I'm quite sure that we will not make it there. It's October and it's not exactly pool weather and we're not exactly pool people.
There's so much to do here in Soriano nel Cimino such as seeing Castle Orsini which you shouldn't miss because it does date back to the 1200s
In the surrounding area, there are tons of things to keep you busy for your one week. There are so many beautiful medieval villages such as Civita di Bagnoregio and also thoroughly check out the Lazio Italy area.
Check-in was very nice.
I would highly recommend staying at either the hotel Palazzo Catalani or Palazzo at Soriano where we stayed.
