Christ of the Ozarks is located a short drive outside Eureka Springs town center.

We were staying in Branson Missouri and it was just slightly over an hour drive to get to Eureka Springs, Arkansas. I had no idea that Arkansas was this close to Branson and we had never been to Arkansas before. I had went in and got my hair done by a young lady and she had suggested that we visit Eureka Springs because it's so pretty. We planned a day to get to Eureka Springs and it was well worth the visit. It was a very pretty countryside to drive through with a lot of hilly, curvy roads on the highway to Eureka Springs. There was zero shoulder to the very narrow road. There were acreages, crops, farms and small towns and one city along the way to Eureka Springs.
Eureka Springs is a holiday resort town. Hundreds of rental doors are waiting for the high, summer season. Eureka Springs is made up of 63 Springs within the city limits and they are dotted throughout the area. If you visit the Historic Downtown area this encompasses Basin Springs. You can visit each one of these little Springs, they're set up almost like religious shrines to visit and sit and contemplate.

| Inside the cave where the Spring resides. |
 |
| Outside the cave where the Spring is. As you can see it is pretty with stairs to walk higher and there were benches around the area with a beautiful railing to hold as you walk down to the Spring. |

| Taken from my car window is another Spring and numerous rock formations. |

When Eureka Springs was discovered in 1856, Dr. Jackson believed the numerous natural springs held miraculous healing powers and the town became touted as a place to visit to heal for skin conditions etc. During and after the Civil War Dr. Jackson brought soldiers there to recuperate from injuries and illness. It later became a major health resort area.
The historic downtown area retains its 1800s look and appeal. There are many shops to wander into and buy your favorite item. We wanted to get a feel for the place, walk around, drive around and there are many things to see along the way. |

Eureka Springs has one of the largest Christian Passion Plays that plays at Easter time. We went out there because Christ of the Ozarks is located on that land. We visited Christ of the Ozarks which would be now our third Christ the Redeemer that we have met. |
| Close to Christ of the Ozarks is a large chunk of the Berlin Wall that was donated to this church who owns this land. |
 |
| This bomb shelter to the left was donated to this church from Israel right after the October 7th attack. |
You can drive down Spring Street or walk and see the numerous Victorian beauties that date back to the 1800s. These are large homes that most of them have now been made into AirB&Bs and rentals for the season.
