Despite a few setbacks, our stay at The Royal Cancun was a blend of positives and areas for improvement. The upstairs master suite, with its extra balcony and stunning views, offered a tranquil oasis. The comfortable bed and spacious room, complete with a desk, added to the overall charm. The Master Bathroom was equipped with the best view. The Grounds at the Royal Cancun are well-maintained. The pier to walk on enjoy and take a different perspective of the resort. The kitchen, though semi-updated, was well-stocked, making it convenient for guests. The living room, equipped with a comfortable double Murphy bed and a large flat-screen TV, provided a cozy space to relax. However, an additional chair in the living room would have made seating more comfortable for larger groups. Nestled in a captivating landscape adorned with hills, valleys, and sizable boulders, this resort offers a picturesque retreat. However, this inadvertently provided an ideal spot for our computer work. A spacious balcony offered a serene view of the pond and hills. While December limited our use due to shade, it hinted at the potential for blissful hours basking in the California air during warmer months. Bedrooms were generously proportioned, providing ample

Drive beneath the interstate from the Hyatt at the Welk, turning left onto Lawerence Welk Court to get your adventure started. As you approach, a commanding rusted iron gate marks the entrance, where you can conveniently park along the roadside to embark on your journey. The trail initially appears unassuming, but don't be deceived—hidden within are some challenging scrambles that demand both mental focus and physical effort to succeed, especially as you ascend toward the towering boulders at the summit. The end-goal destination is the sphere-shaped rocks behind me. This journey maneuvers along a trail that winds around a water tank, unveiling a rugged landscape punctuated by challenges and hidden gems. The path meanders through areas washed out by the elements, leading hikers to precarious gravelly stretches that add an exhilarating touch of "am I going to fall and break my hip" type of suspense. The rugged beauty of Southern California makes for a rugged journey. The pr
